My default follow button on the Mastodon iPhone app is stuck on unfollow for any new user I come across. I'm not following them yet but the app has the unfollow button instead of follow button. I'm required to push the unfollow button first before I can then follow anyone. Anyone else experiencing this? #mastodon #mastodonclient #mastodonapp #mastodonbug #askfedi

35% seems pretty high for random chance, right? If you feel comfortable and want to reach out so that I can follow you again, my DMs are open 💖✨ I'm especially interested if there is a pattern of what Mastodon version is being used. If there's a bug it's either my server version, v4.5.11, or that of the follows that dropped

Not sure how else to potentially troubleshoot this so I'm also open to suggestions. I hope I can pull this thread though

Not sure how to report this, but Mastodon web app v4.6.0-nightly.2026-05-28 is not preserving the Home pointer when I come back to Home from reading a thread.

Re-creating the issue: open a Mastodon tab. Scroll down Home a few screens then go into any thread with replies. Scroll down the thread. Press Back button or alt-left arrow to return to Home. I find myself back at the top of Home.

I'm using Firefox 151.0.2 (64 bit) on Windows 11.

@jab01701mid i have a guess as to what that unhelpful error message was trying to say... suspect it was trying to tell me i can't upload a video and quote a toot in the same post (because that's what i was doing)
