Five years ago today, I married my husband for the second time.
Six years ago tomorrow, I married my husband for the first time.
And because we had a Covid, driveway wedding reception in 2020, we rented one of those “honk for the bride and groom” signs since we live on a corner lot on a busy street. Instead the sign read, “happy 50th wedding anniversary.”

Every year we celebrate both anniversaries because we can. This year we are celebrating with a long weekend exploring and making memories in Connecticut. So I guess tomorrow marks 56 years married…if we are going by that sign. 😉

My wife said “Have you seen the dog bowl?”
I said “I didn’t even know he could play cricket?”

I’m laying here wide awake while my wife and dogs snore like it’s a competition. Nobody struggling but me. Love that for me. #dog #dogs #dogsofmastodon #insomnia #marriedlife

Proof that being "taken" doesn't mean I’ve stopped giving the neighbors something to talk about. 😉 My wedding ring says I’m his, but this view? This view is for anyone who appreciates a wife who still knows how to have a little fun. 🥂🔥

36 years… and somehow it just keeps getting sweeter. ❤️

No filter.
No pretending.

Just two people who chose each other, again and again, through every season of life. It wasn't always easy. The first year was our h*ll.

From younger days full of dreams of a life together to now enjoying the simpler quiet Appalachian evenings, sitting side by side, we’ve built something real. Something steady. Something that lasts.

We’ve laughed, we’ve weathered storms, we’ve grown older (and maybe a little wiser), but the best part?
We’re still us.

Still smiling.
Still showing up.
Still in love with this life we’ve made together.

Right here in the mountains… where time slows down and love feels like home. 🏔️

Love is two married introverts hanging out together on my side of our maker spaces (the less workshop looking side ;)) experimenting with MOPA laser engraving Mexican river rocks. ;) It's actually pretty cool. Hubby is now experimenting with a Hindu painting of Krishna milking cows, on a larger river rock and it looks pretty awesome so far. #MarriedLife #Introverts #MOPALaser
