The highlight of the RHS Spring Show 2026 has to be Russell Jones Jr. on the bandstands. I'd never even heard of him before, but his mother was proudly telling me about his career with The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, and subsequently.

A lot of the singers at this sort of thing talk to themselves, just stand on their mark on stage, and do a fixed set. This bloke was pushing the range limit on the radio mike in the middle of the audience serenading people and dancing with the children.

One man dobbed his wife in it by telling Jones that it was her birthday. So she got a birthday song with her name in it and a line about her husband sleeping in a deckchair.

Yes, apparently there were some plants or summat, as well.

You make a godawful mess of the A449 Worcester Road, following your satnavs, bringing it to a total stand-still.

We cognoscenti who follow the signposted route instead and currently whiz along, allowing the Three Counties Showground to be a good neighbour to the locals by directing the show traffic along dedicated back-roads, do not want you doing that to us, the way that we go.

#today went to the Embroiderers Guild for the 1st time in months. Figs, cheese and easter chocolates to be had, and some rather adorabuls stuffed fabric animals on display.

Dog = wire topiary, wrapped in wadding then stitched over with fabric.

They have a massive destash open to the public on Anzac day - highly recommend for anything textile related: scissors, fabric, yarn, thread, vintage buttons, patterns, containers, needles, the works.
