There’s something special about a single burst of color in a quiet landscape. This view of the Maligne Lake boathouse feels like a little beacon tucked into the stillness of the Canadian Rockies. A reminder to pause, breathe, and take in the small contrasts that make a place unforgettable.

I always wanted to visit Maligne Lake because of Spirit Island. You can get there only by boat. The cruise is stunning - you see raw wilderness around you, sometimes someone in a kayak, mountains and trees growing around the lake. It was August but the weather was cloudy. In this edit I wanted to show you the atmosphere I felt that day. I hope you like it.

I visited Canada with my close friends. We spent some time in the Rockies. I always wanted to visit Maligne Lake because of Spirit Island (the photos are on the way). That's a nice setup. Where do you like to go paddling around the province? My favourite spots include Fort Assiniboine to Vega and beyond, #LakelandProvincialPark, and #MaligneLake.

View available after a 21.5K paddle. Such a stunning part of this province!
