LAST TRAM TO HAPPY VALLEY is my entry to #FolkloreJam 2025! 🚊
It is a one-page storytelling game inspired by Hong Kong urban legends and played using a tarot deck. 👻
The game is PWYW during its launch week! ✨

Let's talk about lyric games!

I'm not sure if there's an official definition, but basically they are to traditional TTRPGs as poetry is to novels. They make the statement that words - and the emotions they evoke - matter, rather than just being instruments to convey mechanics and setting. Just reading them can already be a very interesting experience, even if figuring out how to play them can sometimes be a challenge.

Some of my favorite lyric games in the next post ⬇️

🎙️ I'm really excited about Logan Timmins ( @breathingstories )'s podcast Lyrical Ludology !!

it is a podcast about lyric games, where Logan interviews some amazing ttrpg authors (i am doing some audio editing for it and I can't tell you the names yet but yeah, you'll know them 😁) and they have very cool discussions around lyrical ttrpgs ✨
