Costuming:The costume theme for Krewe of Chickpeas is a dark blue referencing the traditional Palestinian pottery from al-Khalil (Hebron) with watermelons (representing colors of the Palestinian flag and resistance), and oranges (representing a seasonally appropriate alternative to watermelons, which are also a symbol for Palestine)

Costumes are encouraged to follow this color palette, we encourage symbols of Palestinian culture. Costuming is to be done in a way that is creative, respectful, and in solidarity with Palestine. It's Mardi Gras, do it up!
