Kinship is the theme of the 2025 Indigenous Gulf Stream (More Inspo Here). Over the next five months, Bvlancha Public Access is commissioning Gulf South Indigenous artists, creators, and thinkers to contribute content considering this topic through three open calls (View Open Calls).
This past Friday March 21st, a beloved NOLA community member Xeena was issued a 5 day order to vacate from her home.
We are urgently trying to raise another $4,000 over the next 4 days to avoid an eviction. You can give at the link below!
The very hopeful news is that there is a path forward for Xeena to get rental assistance. This would be so major and amazing and awesome! However in order for that to happen all of the back rent has to be paid so that a new lease can be issued for the process to move forward.
We can collectively help a Black disabled trans femme stay in her house. This is a matter of survival, of living or dying, of safety - please support if you can. And please spread the word!
