For #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm introducing African deities in my daily god toots. The deities worshipped in the #Lukumí religion of #Cuba are called #orishas, just like their African counterparts.
The #Orisha Obatalá was tasked with the creation of humans but he got drunk on palm wine and his creations turned out accordingly. Therefore, anyone born with any birth defect is considered protected by the orisha & a child of Obatalá.
