I hate #loglines: Here's mine for my #TV #drama series called Tyler's War

The Peasants' Revolt of 1381 lasted a month, the rebels' leader was killed, and it failed as a social revolution; in 2035, history is repeating itself, as a young woman sets out to hold power to account.

Feels clunky... any thoughts anyone? Would you watch it etc etc etc?

@jlynnreed My feet are the same everywhere I go, but I try to shoe them according to the terrain and occasion. And I've heard it said* that a script might use various #loglines, depending on the audience or purpose.

Would you agree that a producer being queried needs something different than—for example—the final consumer?

I imagine what's daunting to many #screenwriters is the idea they have to pack everything into one tiny package, rather than several simpler ones.

Okay, #screenwriter, I'd like to open a dialogue on #loglines theory (not structure):

What's your opinion on scope?
Distill the whole story? All but the ending?

My view is that it need only summarize the elements essential to Act 1. Tell me why/if that's wrong.

I enjoy the challenge, and feel I have pretty good grasp on what they need—for features and pilots, that is.
