HOLY HELL

i use #Icefox, a fork of #Firefox that is like #Librewolf but for #Android. i just updated to 2.41.3 and i almost lost my shit with that AWFUL “composable toolbar”.

THIS IS RETHORICAL but what the actual fuckety fuck?!?!?

thank goodness for Icefox’s secret settings, the UI is almost back to normal but for the tabs.

i just don't understand the Mozilla mindset. nobody asked for that shit.

am just shocked that the leadership is really hell bent on killing the browser.

@tecnoysoft

The Settings GUI in #konform #browser was in need of some love and is now having a refresh. Several new knobs, some shuffling around to make things more cohesive and less scattered, and some edits of hints to hopefully reduce potential for confusion.

New options for:
- First-Party Isolation
- Enhanced #tracking Protection tweaking in Custom mode (useful mostly for FPI users)
- #webrtc and ICE
- #dom Push and its optional network connection
- #jit features
- WebAssembly (#wasm)
- Geolocation
- WebGPU
- Async callstacks support
- Persisting of browser history

Hints and the "advanced" options expand when clicking the "?" for parent option.

Still a bit hesitant on where global toggles for #webgpu and #webgl belong. And perhaps configuration for cross-origin referrer could also move to Browser Privacy controls?

Otherwise feels like things are coming together - What do you think? Anything you're missing or that feels out of place?

@ArmouredWizard i can second another comment #librewolf is very nice; it lets you adjust cookie setting and privacy on page per page basis; helps you to avoid finger printing. I recommend combining it with fine grained use of user agend switcher; cookie filter and ublock origin. You can also choose if you want to use google security page filter lists or not. Also note #vpn is likely even more important than only the #browser itself.

@ra6bit

I switched to #librewolf

I still can't believe this stupid #Linux #Quickshell #Ricing thing made me actually make a #Firefox theme*.

How do you stop?

* To use with #Librewolf, mind you.

PS. It's at https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/cyanpunk/

Cyanpunk – Holen Sie sich dieses Theme für 🦊 Firefox (de)

Laden Sie Cyanpunk für Firefox herunter. Firefox theme with the Cyanpunk color palette.

@alex No, I checked three times.
I think it's a "don't allow to detect where I am" setting in #LibreWolf, as it is fine on my (barf) Windows company laptop and #Edge
@cam #LibreWolf pour être exact
