-> Q: Who should pay for furlough? A: Those who got it!

Five years after Covid, France's 'essential workers' have been forgotten.
In 2020, the government said it aimed to better recognise 'essential' jobs – generally gruelling, poorly paid and offering no real prospects for advancement – which had helped the country continue functioning during the pandemic.
Yet the changes these workers hoped for did not come.
I just signed the petition “Create a Compensation & Pension Scheme for Key Workers with Long Covid” and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.
Our goal is to reach 150,000 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here: https://chng.it/jSWjbYJZXW

For many an increase of well-supported #SocialPrescribing is a key to addressing #mentalhealth problems among our young.... but research indicates that for the vulnerable & hard to reach, this is best carried out by people & #keyworkers the child already knows.
So rather than a whizz-bang new strategy & feasibility studies of new institutional responses, if we are going to makes social prescribing work better, we need to ramp up funding to expand the existing provision!
Given the #Tories callous disregard for the wellbeing of other #keyworkers (except to piously clap for them, of course), it can be no surprise they'd show a similar disregard for the key workers of pollination - #bees!
The letter outlining Scotland's withdrawal of masks in health/social care settings is vicious. Not only does it tell them to abandon rationality, clinical evidence, & patient safety, it MANDATES NON-MASKING FOR STAFF.
"In practice, for social care settings, this will mean that the element of choice to wear a mask outwith when it is recommended in the NIPCM/CH NIPCM [national infection prevention & control manual] will no longer apply."
