I've had a chance to play with the new #synth a bit and I do really like it. I'm still not exactly sure what it's doing, it's a bit idiosyncratic when you hit the Poly Stack button. The #sequencer is pretty basic, so I've plugged in my #Keystep Pro to program some patterns. The #analog parts sound gorgeous though, and you can control each part separately if you want. The effects aren't too bad, I'll probably still mainly use the #Boss #GT1000 Core but it's nice to have something built-in.

Die softwareseitigen Features im Keystep Mk II sind schon nice, aber warum man der Kiste nicht noch ein paar Encoder für CC spendiert hat versteh ich halt absolut nicht. Platz wär ja noch genug.

The whole kit is powered by a battery pack. I have 2. The lightest pack has a 12V output (+ tip) and a 5V USB. This allows me to run the lunchbox modular on 12v and then I can run the #korg #sq1 sequencer or the #tascam digital recorder or the #arturia #keystep from the USB. Or, using my USB to -9v cable, I can run a multieffect #guitar #pedal like a #zoom #ms70cdr (or any of the other 9v (-tip) pedals I have).

The 12V plug here is 5521, lunchbox is 5521 (& guitar pedals also 5521 but 9v -tip)

Arturia Keystep 32 is a popular midi controller. This portable USB keyboard comes with pleanty of options to unlease your creativity.

The Behringer's Swing is an undesirable keyboard because it is a copy of Arturia's Keystep keyboard.

Arturia has two affordable MIDI keyboards.

The KeyStep is a robust controller and sequencer that comes with 32 keys. Connect with USB MIDI, standard MIDI in and out, clock sync and DIN sync jacks, and CV/GATE outputs, plus a separate, assignable modulation CV output.

The MiniLab 3 gives you only a 25 keys portable MIDI controller, but you also get 16 knobs and 8 pads to control many parameters inside your DAW.

It’s been a while since I gave a #synth update. A few days back I figured out how to upload code to the chip (guess who didn’t design in dedicated programming pads, and one of the pins is directly connected to an analog filter).

I also scrounged and scavenged everything else I needed to do a complete end to end test. And… it didn’t work.

It’s not working in a way that’s really bizarre.

And it could be chip firmware, my assembly, assumptions I’ve made about the CV out on my #Keystep, etc
