Excuse me while I have a bit of a "OMG, I am so fucking stupid..." moment.

Musically speaking, my favorite noodle around and make melodies on my phone app has been the Korg Kaossilator app for Android. It's not the most full featured little thing, but it works well enough to just get me out of my head and just mess around without feeling like I have to "do it right".

I kinda use it like a little musical scratch pad and if I like something I'll export the wav files and put them in a DAW and then expand on them more properly.

I hadn't been doing much musically lately because I've been more in visual art mode, but I discovered that on the last update of the app.... it broke. Crash upon launch.

I had to reinstall it, and it completely wiped everything I hadn't backed up (at least I think... I can't seem to find any info on where the data I hadn't exported as wav files could have been stored).

So, I'm dumb for not backing shit up regularly and I'm now big sad because there were things I liked that are gone forever.

If you're using silly little phone apps, don't be like me and remember to backup your shit, kids.
