Fourteen years to the day of #SteveJobs’s death, I mostly appreciate his apparent demand for excellence from people, something I’ve never felt about any other Apple CEO nor anyone I’ve worked for.
Yet I’ve long felt that, had we personally known each other, we’d have probably ended up leaving bags of burning poo on each others’ doorsteps.
I worked at #Apple during the #JohnSculley era. I feel like had we known each other, we probably would have gotten along well. But I felt like he was never the right guy. Even the way he left company-wide voice mails came off to me as someone who didn’t have a grip on things.
So Steve, I think we would have despised and loathed each other. But I wish I could find certain aspects of you in others.
