Trevor Tern was already a man out of time, pining for the good old days whilst his wife Iris tries to relaunch herself selling stuffed pandas to Korea from the double decker bus in their garden. But then he finds an alley that leads to a pub in wartime Manchester where the beautiful barmaid Ursula White takes a shine to him. Egged on by his best friend Don, he begins an affair that transcends time itself. But is Ursula all that she seems? And why does her dear old dad keep calling her Iris? And what secret is he hiding in that backroom? Why has Iris renamed their Alexa "Panda", and just why is it so lippy?
