Not me getting excited to write about the #Invertfest Anthology, and planning to add @[email protected] and @[email protected] as collaborators to the patreon post and realising the feature is still in beta roll out stage Y_Y
My story “The Aria of the Painted Lady” is part of this anthology. Wrote a Folktale about the origin of Painted Lady butterfly (Vanessa cardui) with a inspiration from Dorian Gray. Also check the beautiful art @[email protected] made to go with it! #WritingCommunity #Invertfest #BookSky

It would be cool to mark bug art to participate in #InvertFest. I have been really attached to the ostracods in my jars so I decided to look up what their actual anatomy is. What I can see is a little folded bean with antenna and diggy little mole feet. Can't be that bad. Right?
For Day 1 of #InvertFest let me share my #Christmas gift that I got from @thebluemango.in A ladybug pin! #虫

some cicadas have symbiotic gut fungus (yes, fungi, not bacteria) that make amino acides for them. These fungi are related to the infamous "zombie" cordyceps fungi.

some cicadas in N. America have gone extinct in recent times, some without having their songs recorded

One last post for #InvertFest and it's four of my favorite friends from this year. It was hard to narrow it down to just that!

On the 31th and final day of #Crustmas my true love gave to me the fossil Rosagammarus minichiellus McMenamin et al 2013 from the Triassic Luning Formation in Nevada. This particular fossil has had an interesting path of reinterpretation. Buckle up!
