One of the very few crab spiders I was able to spot so far and look at its beautiful, alien-like face! Incredible animals these little critters.
Since they are rather small, I needed to use full 5x magnification again to get this portrait.

#macromonday Here’s another spider that is incredibly small (a juvenile) and is snacking on some type of fly. Third picture is backed out for scale. It was only a few millimeters long. Also its eyes are different colors. I’m guessing the flash hit each one at a different angle and caused this. My best guess on species is juvenile Phidippus Audax but if there’s a biologist in here with more experience please correct me if I’m wrong. (So many variants!)
