#Romania wants to open a new secret service through a law project that would transform the the army's spy directorate (DGIA / GDDI) into a secret service with a juridic personality. The new service could also open up companies. They could also do interceptions, searches, and employ civilians.

DGIA currently has two directorates and a military intelligence brigade. They collectively handle foreign intelligence, counter-intelligence, #HUMINT, #SIGINT and #IMINT.
