I am an apologist for #REHoward. For all his writing's faults, he WAS one of the few #pulpwriters to acknowledge empires and nations of colour could exist.

In Howard's lifetime, this region was known as #SouthZambezia, then #Southern Rhodesia.

But Robert, who spent his youth devouring #historical and #geographic #knowledge, still used the old name #Zimbabawe (spelled Zembabawe) for one of his #HyborianAge #kingdoms.
