Welp.. Looks like I can scratch "try Booklore as a Calibre replacement" off my to-do list.

It appears that Booklore just got added to the "vibe-coding dev nuked their app after the Internet came 'a-pitchforkin" list...

EDIT: Looks like the GitHub repo is actually still there (for now?). They just nuked their Discord for the project.

#PSA if you’re running #Huntarr you can - and should uninstall it. Project is dead as dodo 🦤 Turned out it was insecure vibe coded garbage and after calling out author nuked it out of existence.

Heads up if anyone's using #Huntarr. Apparently it was all poorly vibe coded and not secure AT ALL, so if you still have it running in your stack, time to remove it ASAP. Tom at Lawrence Systems has a short breaking it down on YouTube.

What the Huntarr Controversy Teaches About Self-Hosted Security

YouTube

I'm not familiar with Huntarr (looks like something to do with Plex), but it looks like it was a vibe-coded (gen AI) system with huge security flaws and when these were raised with its author he simply blocked everyone and deleted everything and went into hiding: https://old.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/1rckopd/huntarr_your_passwords_and_your_entire_arr_stacks/

If you or someone you know have used #Huntarr, it's time to nuke it from orbit and do some personal security auditing.

FYI.. if you happen to have added Huntarr to your -arr stack, be aware that it has serious security issues.

If you happened to expose it to the web, you'd best take it down immediately. Otherwise, someone could easily swoop in and nuke your media library. Or worse.
