Apparently Disney+ owes a significant sum of money for technology that allows them to stream content in Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
And, of course, don't expect them to lower the price of the service for the preventable loss of these enhanced benefits for which they currently charge a premium.

I haven’t seen this video but it looks interesting. The real problem is probably gonna be poor backwoods compatible #HDR tone mapping, if I had to guess.
No #Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision, so for a lot of streaming I am stuck with SDR if they didn't do a plain HDR option (usually they do, but not always). I got a new #AppleTV on ebay that can do #hdr10plus now, but it is still uncommon for streaming. The awful forced hdr quality comes up a lot more than I'd imagined.
I put on Game of Thrones "The Long Night". It is SDR on my setup. While it is still dark, I can actually see what is happening in the middle of the day in a bright room.
