Workstation crashed due to a power blackout today. Lasted a few hours before the power was back up. Left me with two downgraded #RAID arrays due to a range of problematic disk sectors. Had to do some #smartctl and #hdparm magic to get everything in order again. Arrays currently syncing, all running smoothly now. Despite this, #Linux still rules! :]

hdparm -t [device] tells me the read speed. Is there a way to show the write speed? When I man hdarm | grep write I get flags -F, -n, -r and -W, all which do not provide the desired result I am
