Wonder if this NVMe SSD is going to explode at some point because so much stuff has been written to the error log? I've not really managed to find out if this is something I should be concerned about, or just normal...

smartctl reports an ever-increasing number of error log entries (about 40 per hour) - currently,

Error Information Log Entries: 609,543

According to nvme error-log it's always the same message,

error_count : 609543
sqid : 0
cmdid : 0x3016
status_field : 0x2002 (Invalid Field in Command: A reserved coded value or an unsupported value in a defined field)

NO, i friggen DO NOT WANT TO fumble around with "-d", and quirks, and shiz!

Tools on friggen #Windows (#CrystalDiskInfo) CAN DO it, so SHOULD smartmontools on #Linux, automatically!

(back in the 480mbps USB 2.0 days - things were BETTER - current #Linux code hasn't caught up)

Y'all, if you have a #fileserver, always have a parity disk in the #raid volume. ALWAYS. They have saved my ass so many times. And, for the love of all that is righteous, make offline backups of your precious volumes.

Is there a way to tell #smartctl to retrieve/display only a chosen Vendor Specific SMART Attributes?

I would like to skip the grep part:

`# smartctl -A /dev/da1 | grep "^231"`
`231 SSD_Life_Left 0x0000 099 099 000 Old_age Offline - 99`

I might be tempting fate for sharing this but damn, these older WD Red drives are amazing. That is about 8.6 years when converted.
