ok somehow I missed #demosunday . I know why I missed it. It involves Amigas and using them.

This past weekend was #graffathon in Finland. https://demozoo.org/parties/5036/ which is an excellent party that somehow I always end up doing something else during.

Haven't checked it all out yet. You should. Especially the 'beginner' stuff, because that tends to be very inspiring.

also there was a PT1210 weekender and I missed it and Ctrix played a set and I think h0ffman did and AAAUGH

Also Arok is the same weekend as Ed!son and AAUGH

Now this isn't supposed to bring folks down but it seems a bit down now that I'm reading it, and, well, that may be due to having read some posts on fedi this morning and yeah, it's a mess out there, and y'all are trying to get others thru it, not just yourself. Keep that up, even tho it wipes out spoons. It's worth it.

Graffathon 2024: Where Coding Meets Art

In June 2024, I attended Graffathon at the Aalto Design Factory in Espoo, Finland. It was an interesting introduction to demoscene culture. Around thirty participants gathered for this uniquely starter-friendly demoparty, enjoying a good helping of creativity and collaboration. Over the course of two and a half days, demosceners crafted seventeen impressive demos, showcasing the talents of both beginners and advanced coders. This article recounts my impressions of Graffathon 2024, exploring the vibrant intersection of art and technology that defines this extraordinary community.
