Its not a 'wage', per se. See "median wage of $300,000".
Its a payoff for aiding and abetting a criminal totalitarian regime that literally helps extremists (we are being kind here), suppresses dissidents, and engages in and profits from censorship, advertising, hypnotic suggestion techniques, and #massSurveillance.
All while signalling "don't be evil".

Yes, pointing to #GoogleIsNotWhatItSeems by JulianAssange offers insight into the #corporateState totalitarianism that has accelerated since the 90's.
Google basically had a nice search algorithm people found helpful, the rest appears to be extreme #cronyism.
