Its a payoff for aiding and abetting a criminal totalitarian regime that literally helps extremists (we are being kind here), suppresses dissidents, and engages in and profits from censorship, advertising, hypnotic suggestion techniques, and #massSurveillance.

All while signalling "don't be evil".

Its a payoff for aiding and abetting a criminal...It's getting hard not so see any substantially large income as simply*hush money* for ongoing crimes. With few exceptions many large industries are straight up rackets. Sometimes they are even rackets straight up built on other rackets.

War,Tech,Finance,"Health",Education,Media,Religion...
Show me a single sector of human life that is not either corrupt down to the roots, or merely struggling to persist despite the rot.
I want to believe in a better future, but at the minimum it's going to require some very difficult conversations.
