in the mean time 57.5% of http requests now are not from human traffic but from bots -- blame AI crawlers, agentic traffic in addition to the previous search engine bots.
so, maybe the open market will be the final nail on the coffin to complete the dead internet theory? it plugs along with increased steam as #anthropic, #openai. #GoogleAI, et al. drive more tokenmaxing and ai slop results perhaps to the point we really won't know what's real or fake on the internet anymore. that "bot or not" game by surfshark is a bit of a prelude to what the internet is already.
just me rambling after reading daniela's comment. maybe the bubble will pop sooner than later and the tech bruhs are just wanting to cash in before everyone blames them for destroying the internet.
