If you’re using Gnomit (my little Git commit editor for GNOME) with tiling in the latest Pop!_OS, you need to add it to the Floating Window Exceptions list (from the Tile Windows menu). But that’s not enough to make it appear centred as before. You also have to check the Centre New Windows option under Windows in GNOME Tweaks.
