I think I've figured an issue I had with #obs for some time, and I'm sharing it for those who may need it:
If you too have the bug where OBS tends to duplicate the third or so frame in a recording, resulting in awfully choppy footage, turn OFF VSynch in game (as an additional step try also frame limiting your GPU at 60FPS)

This is from the remastered version of Tomb Raider 1 from the recent remaster release that included the first three games. I don't know what it is about walking through a narrow tunnel that opens into a large room.

you can enable GPU hardware encoding, maximum frame rate (either 30 or 60), and maximum video height (480p, 720p, 1080p, 1200p, 1440p, 2160p, no limit).
Short-Cut keys for starting/stopping saving a clip, adding a timeline marker, and taking a screenshot.
You can choose how many seconds of gameplay to save as a clip.
And game-specific settings as well.
