Attached: 1 image Let's talk about **xPal**, which purports to be an encrypted messaging app. https://xpal.com Anyone that reads my blog probably [already knows where this is going](https://soatok.blog/encrypted-messaging-apps/). If this post accidentally reaches escape velocity and people that don't know me find it: Hi, I'm a furry cryptography nerd. Usually when I talk about so-called private apps, it's to disclose vulnerabilities in them. (Today, I just don't have the damn energy to do a formal write-up.) Let's start with how they market their app.

Furry.Engineer - Duct tape, hotfixes, and poor soldering!

The giant white wolf plunged his muscled arm deep into the bright orange gourd's open crown, he gripped a solid mass of slimy stringy innards covered in seeds and slowly tore it from the fleshy core.

"Oh, fuck yes!" He growled, and hurled it into the nearby bucket where it hit the plastic bottom with a sickening wet slap.

His grin was undeniable, this was his favorite part of making the seasonal lanterns, his eyes rose from the pumpkin's gaping hole to the red fox, frozen in mid-step, holding a tray of stencils and carving tools. The wolf raised his orange-stained arm and pointed at him with a claw.

"You're next!" Brad snarled, baring his fangs in a grin that dripped with wicked sadism like the juices from his paw.

The spoons and knives on the tray began to rattle as the fox trembled, tail between his legs, ears flattening, and cheeks burning red.
