CCSpent my morning hours with kiddo in the pull out. We're both a bit under the weather 😅 Didnt help that I had to frog half the neckwarmer yesterday due to calculation error and I miiight just frog half of what is left since I am not happy with the bubbles. Might leave it. Might not. Still deciding. In the mean time I am washing my åsenwool skein and hanging it to dry. Working on if I need to buy a new set of 5,5 needles to start my sweater or if I can manage to get my hand on a pair from a friend. We'll see.😊

This is what #brainfog is like. I had a terrible episode the other day; I worked on this section of my cardigan project ALL DAY LONG, #knitting and #frogging over and over. This section is a little tricky. It uses a slightly advanced technique (short rows) that many people find daunting at first, but I've been doing them for years. I couldn't make any sense of it. It was SO HARD! And today? No problem! All my experience came back to me. #relief #disability #fear #CognitiveDecline #fuck
ArtsandSocks 🧶🪡Today, I frogged my Musselburgh hat. Forgive me for what will be an unpopular opinion, but I cannot figure out why 38,000 of these hats have been knit. It is boring to knit. The pattern instructions are minimal for a pattern that cost me $12 CAD.
I live in Canada and one of the first things I ever knit was a hat. I knit two or three hats every year. But, I started to have strong negative feelings for this hat. If you love it, great! But I'm never going to knit this again.
Well, it is a ball of yarn again. When I feel more charitable, I'll wind the yarn onto my swift and dampen it to get the kinks out. Maybe it will become baby socks.

This was its status last evening. Today I have frogged the previously amputated sleeve, and have spent 2 hours disengaging the second. I had forgotten *why* I switched to knitting 3D surfaces rather than flat handsewn panels.
The reminder is very unwelcome. It is much more work to pick out the sewn stitches.
It will not be washed this evening, or possibly even tomorrow evening.

A slew of new state laws are going into effect Friday, covering law enforcement, health, education, elections, and hunting and fishing.
Among the laws going into effect are a requirement for law enforcement agencies to create a reporting system for officers’ use of force, steeper penalties for the sale of “whippits”/nitrous oxide and “poppers”/amyl nitrite, criminal penalties for anyone interfering with federal immigration enforcement, a ban on kratom (a controversial herbal supplement), penalties for using a phone while driving and moving too slow in the left lane, and increased access to vocational and technical training for public high school students.
Also, people going frogging at night can now bring a gun.
