Becoming a medical doctor in America means a decade of school and study, passing tests designed to filter out all but the best candidates, and often even further study in clinical settings before you practice. You have to be very privileged to even start on this path realistically.

I submit that this helps no one who isn't already a medical practitioner.

It prevents good candidates from reaching practice, it hurts people who can't see doctors because they don't exist, and it is designed to accumulate our wealth in existing doctors by limiting the supply we have to choose from.

I want free medical colleges and healthcare.
