National Flag of Canada Day
At noon on February 15, 1965, Canada’s iconic red and white maple leaf flag was raised for the first time on Parliament Hill. Today, as we celebrate its 60th anniversary, we honour this enduring symbol of unity and shared values – democracy, inclusion, equity, and pride in being Canadian.

You know when you're playing #pinball on a real vintage machine with the steel balls and flipper buttons and stuff?
And there's that thing where you hit the ball just right and it shoots up between two bumpers, where it bounces back and forth like a machine gun, and the bells are going, and the points counter is mechanically chunking upwards?
That's what happens when you put out a Canadian flag in a snowy blizzard.
Yay, found my Cdn flag! And I've put it up for the weekend.
It's the 60th anniversary of our very stylish and iconic flag. And just for extra timely symbolism, I think mine came from an elder sister who I think I heard stole it from a police station maybe 45yrs ago.
