I am filled w/rage, sorrow, helplessness

I was on trauma call last night. I told my chief resident, before I even knew about #coloradosprings “it’s the senseless #firearmviolence that will push me to end my career in #trauma surgery.”

The toll this takes on EVERYONE is simply too much.

I wish I could say I can “see both sides” to the #firearm issue, but I can’t. Cause all I see is death & lives ruined.
