Shantell PowellI was in a class recently where someone took umbrage to an analogy being made between human behaviour and animal behaviour. They considered it dehumanizing, but I don’t necessarily see it that way. Humans are a sort of animal, and nonhuman animals are our relations. I think it says something about how people perceive animals if they think any comparison to them must be derogatory.
My spirit name and my clan are animals. I am grateful for these.
