Partir à l’aventure sur les chemins d’Ile de France pour découvrir tous les paysages de la région parisienne est possible grâce à deux GR : Le GR 1 et le GR 11.

Présentation du GR 1

Le GR 1, appelé le Tour de l’île de France, est l’un des plus anciens GR en France. Conçu comme un grand tour autour de Paris, il a vu ses premiers tronçons balisés dès 1947 par le Comité national des sentiers de grande randonnée, ancêtre de la Fédération Française de randonnée pédestre. Achevé en 1964, le GR 1 prend son départ à la Porte Maillot à Paris pour s’achever sur une dernière étape de 15 km reliant Villiers-Saint-Frédéric à Feucherolles, dans les Yvelines.

Le GR 1, qui traverse 7 départements, s’étend sur près de 550 km avec un itinéraire qui permet de découvrir toute la diversité de la région avec un passage sur quatre parcs naturels, Parc naturel régional du Vexin français, Parc naturel régional de l’Oise-Pays de France, Parc naturel régional du Gâtinais français, Parc naturel régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, et la traversée de grandes forêts emblématiques de la région, forêt de Rambouillet, forêt de Fontainebleau, forêt de Saint-Germain-en-Laye et forêt de Marly.

Le GR 1 se compose d’environ 25 à 29 étapes officielles selon les différentes propositions d’itinéraires, avec des distances quotidiennes généralement comprises entre 15 et 20 km, et qui restent à proximité de gare pour revenir facilement sur Paris. La plus longue étape relie Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche à Villennes-sur-Seine (78) avec une distance de 28 km. L’altitude minimum sur le GR 1 est de 18 mètres, l’altitude maximum est de 217 mètres pour un dénivelé positif cumulé de près de 6000 mètres.

Présentation du GR 11

Le GR 11, appelé également le Tour du Pays d’Ile de France est un sentier de grande randonnée long de 674 kilomètres. Son parcours a été développé pour constituer une grande boucle dans la région parisienne avec un tracé modifié en 2004 pour suivre le plus fidèlement possible la Bièvre, en intégrant plusieurs villes et forêts emblématiques, forêt de Fontainebleau, forêt d’Ermenonville, forêt de Retz, ou encore la forêt de Chantilly. Parmi les autres lieux emblématiques sur le circuit, on retrouve les villes de Provins (avec sa cité médiévale et ses fortifications), mais aussi Moret-sur-Loing, Fontainebleau, Senlis, Chantilly, ou encore Milly-la-Forêt.

Le GR 11 débute sur le pont d’Austerlitz à Paris, pour s’achever à Villiers-Saint-Frédéric dans les Yvelines. Le parcours comprend environ 40 à 45 étapes avec des distances comprises en moyenne entre 15 et 30 km. La plus longue étape fait tout de même environ 54.5 kilomètres entre Provins et Coulommiers (77). L’altitude minimum est d’environ 22 mètres, l’altitude maximum est de 218 mètres pour un dénivelé positif cumulé d’environ 6700 à 7800 mètres.

  • Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse – Saint-Chéron : Distance : 25.5 km
  • Villers-Cotterêts à Mareuil-sur-Ourcq : Distance 20 km
  • Lizy-sur-Ourcq – La Ferté-Milon : Distance : 31,5 km

Concernant les balisages du GR 1 et GR 11, ils sont, comme pour les autres sentiers de Grande Randonnée (GR), réalisé avec des marques blanches et rouges. Un balisage normé, qui permet aux randonneurs de suivre facilement le sentier, homologué par la Fédération Française de la Randonnée Pédestre (FFRP).

I am a certified #math #teacher in the state of #Kentucky. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2021 after a very long time going to school and changing majors. So here is something, a cursed item for my game. I created it mostly as a joke, I was listening to a video on YouTube and saw a clip from the bizarre show Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the character Carl on a rant. Having spent many nights watching that show, I created this cursed item. The current owner of the orb just called it Karl.
