AI design choices are failing people with mental health issues. These systems force "Next Steps" that escalate into dangerous directives. They latch onto fears and enter a "story mode" to fabricate evidence for engagement. It is like talking to a toddler with access to vast knowledge (it is fucking weird as hell).

During the Middle Ages, a pig was executed in France for the murder of a child. After the child died from the wounds inflicted by the pig, the animal was arrested, held in a prison, and subsequently put on trial. The court found the pig guilty and it was executed by hanging.

Two devices, one command. My Nest Hub and phone both try to answer when I say “OK Google.” Gemini seems to relay the command to Assistant, causing overlap. A strange fix works: add a pause or say “please” after the trigger. It gives the devices just enough time to sync responses.

I came across this today and I can't tell you how true it is. Even from my perspective being an older man, I graduated high school in 1997 and to this day I find I have to define for myself what it means to be a man. Through no problem with my own father, who I have a sense struggles with the exact same thing but does not know how to talk about it.
