Spent the last week with NewNewsWire, and while I liked it there were two items that were niggling;
1. You couldn’t set the default browser
2. No images until you opened the story

So I’m trying Feeeed, and so far very impressed. Aesthetically more up to date, with a pretty reader mode baked in (or it can open in your browser).

Will see how I feel after another weeks test

Are you getting your hands on #TimelineApps lately? Same here. And again and again I have to state that #reeder is my app of choice in this field currently. This goes for the design and the functionality. I am struggling with the use of #surf and don't get very far. #tapestryapp looks quite nice, but I am unable to connect to any Bluesky account. Not even my own. #feeeed is free and has got some nice features, but I do not like the design very much. For me #reeder is the most reliable app here.
Apps like #Reeder and #feeeed really make me wish there was something comparable for Android. #Feedly is *okay* in that it lets me capture my RSS, blogs, and YouTube feeds in one place, but it's a bit cludgey to use after all these years. It's functional, but not as nice of an experience.
News/blog readers, I highly recommend this new app called "feeeed" (iOS & iPadOS only for now). It's my new favorite news app.

It's similar to a typical news aggregator app, but much, much more. It's privacy focused, has an excellent reader-first mode. You can follow news sources by category, but also a bunch of external services as well:

• RSS Feeds (even podcasts!)
• Newsletters
• YouTube channels
• Weather
• Mastodon accounts (other fedi services don't work)
• Twitter/X accounts
• Substack accounts
• Birthday reminders

The Ui/Ux is decent too.

Edit: I forget whole words and even add extra ones sometimes.

Follow anyone and any website. YouTube channels, RSS feeds, subreddits, local weather, personal step counts, birthday reminders and more.
