FediMeteo updates are distributed every 6 hours. If a city appears empty on your instance, it doesn't mean the service is down - it just means no one on your instance is following it yet.
Simply start following the city, and you'll receive the weather conditions and forecasts with the next update.

Please note that since updates are sent at regular 6-hour intervals, it may take a little while for the first message to arrive.
