Suggestion: improve the desktop web editing experience. I find it very confusing to have a small little field to the side. I get all cross-eyed using it.

When you're in editing mode I almost always start out trying to type in the centre column where the posts are. Then I remember and try to type in the post rendered offset up and to the left.

Then I realise nothing is happening and notice a field below the post that was rendered top left.

#FeatureSuggestion Mute/Block accounts/words until YYYY-MM-DD or suggest directly things like "mute until month after the election".

Mastodon already has a few tickets open to show "Followed by ... and n others you follow" when browsing people's profiles, eg: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/19298

I wonder if it would also be useful to show "Blocked by ... and n others you follow". 🤔

It would be cool if you could filter your @github Timeline by language. What if I want to only see recommended Ruby or Crystal repos?

Ngl it'd be super nice if there was some kind of feature where you could filter out Toots and Boosts on a user's profile so that way you could only see their Toots or their Boosts respectably. I spent like a good 5 minutes trying to find someone else's Toot I had meant to Boost and it would've been way easier/quicker had such a feature already existed. :/ #Mastodon #Fediverse #suggestions #features #featuresuggestion

Probationary follows.

Unsure if a person's posts will fit in well or be noticeable in your current timeline? Put them on probation.

After a designated trial period, if you haven't changed their status under the Probation tab, they'll be presented as a notification for final consideration where their probation can be extended, switched to permanent, or unfollowed.

If the notification is ignored, they automatically get unfollowed.

Just had a toot "go viral" (such as it is on #mastodon 😉 ), and that leads me to a #featuresuggestion: If a bunch of identical interactions happen on the same toot, it would be great if the notifications were "bundled".

It can get a bit much to scroll through dozens of identical line items, and it's easy to miss something else in the din. 🙏 😊
