Fun Saturday! I went to a bar and did some character creation for a Fate Accelerated game my buddy is going to run. Then I came home and watched some TV and played some video games. Now I'm in bed and I'm going to read some comics until I fall asleep!

Samstagabend noch ein anderes erzählorientiertes Spiel: #FateRPG (#turboFate / #fateAccelerated) bei @HeyHoLetsFlow (Danke!) - endlich wieder einmal die Gelegenheit dazu und das in großartiger Umsetzung durch SL und Mitspielende. Ich hatte leider zwischendurch auch Müdigkeitsschübe nach einer anstrengenden Woche 😬
Auch hier tolle SL-Leistung: das noch freiere TurboFate so gut auf den Punkt zu bringen, ist in meinen Augen eine sehr gute SL-Leistung! 👍

So, I’m curious how much interest there is here in the rules-light, fiction-first systems that I’m mostly interested in these days. Examples include #Fate (either #FateCore or #FateAccelerated) and #MotW (Monster of the Week).
Ultimately, while I’m planning on writing and sharing (and, honestly, hopefully selling) materials for those, I’m only just getting started on those as projects.
I’ll likely continue with those efforts even if there’s not a market for them, but curious to know… 🙂

And Star Trek III Sourcebook for Star Trek The Role Playing Game from FASA.
This has seen better days, but it was also cheap enough.

Looking for recommendations for good actual plays to watch/listen to for #FateCore or #FateAccelerated.
I have a game/campaign concept I'm refining, but I haven't had a chance to really *play* Fate to get a proper feel for gameplay (most of my gaming friends are not nearly as adventurous as I wish they were. They tend to stick with D&D 5e and Pathfinder).
Playing #FateRPG #FateAccelerated for the first time.
Negotiating what Approach to use for each roll makes me think of the #2d20 system where you have to negotiate the Attribute to pair with your Skill for every roll — most games, on the other hand, pair up Attributes with the same Skills all the time.
"Compel" episodes where you take a Fate point for having an aspect used against you remind me of #CypherSystem “GM Intrusions”, where you get an XP for accepting something negative happening.

Favourite con module/one shot
I like to gm something that people can relate to easily. Lately, I developed a pixie scenario in the #dresdenverse by @evilhat.
Everybody knows pixies and you can explain the beauty of #Fate easily. I usually use #FateAccelerated to have little rules overhead and be able to focus on the interesting bits - what makes Fate and player empowerment so interesting.
@InfernalTeddy I was just thinking about #Toon as a candidate for the upcoming "funniest" #RPG, having played it 30ish years ago.
I think I'd now run it with #FateRPG. It could keep the classic Muscles/Zip/Moxie/Chutzpah as the skills (minimal #FateAccelerated-style). Fate "Conditions" (temporary aspects from getting hurt etc.) seem more cartoon-y than hit points anyway. And those toons are always getting into trouble from their instincts/nature ("aspect compels"). I think it has potential...

Old game you still play
Hmm, I don't want to repeat myself too much here, but I'm still playing the #DresdenFiles game by @evilhat though there has been a new rules edition and the simpler #dresdenfilesaccelerated came out.
The reason is probably that for a campaign, #FateAccelerated is not deep enough for me.
Also still playing #dsa 4th edition.
