Now, this is an old panorama which, again, I've done in HDR (and I've done in various format, I might post later), but here is the remake of that panorama, stitched from the RAW files only. Edited RAW that is. I'm not sure what the place exactly is, but I think it was part of the power plant complex (maybe the building that contained the offices of workers or something), on Failaka island. The island was depopulated and almost a ghost island or town during the 1990-1991 invasion and war, which kinda made it a sweet spot for those who wanna leave the noise of the city for few days. However, there is always news that the island should be revived and some planning for some projects is going on; which is something, honestly, I'd hate to see coming.
Now, I know for some such places don't bear any sign of beauty whatsoever, but the thing here is about challenge, and vision. In fact, while trying to shoot this panorama, I've tried to carefully pick the middle point of this building to keep as much symmetry as possible. I have to admit, I was scared while working there; first because of the silence that gives you a feeling that someone is watching you, always, and secondly because I wasn't sure of the clearance of the building of any booby-traps or maybe hidden mines (though I know such things are seen more in the desert but still). Till this very day, once in a blue moon, we get news about the discovery of some unexploded ammo or a mine exposed after rains, or even a victim falling for one.
Anyway, in the world of panorama making, one should always keep an eye for chaos, because chaos can make up also some good symmetry, and/or geometry!

Ηλιοβασίλεμα του Ίκαρου (2012);

Shot in 2012 and redone here with RAW files instead of HDR as in the original. This one too was offered in some stockphoto website but all had been deleted now.
Doing this panorama had to be quick before the sun goes below the horizon. The situation was slippery, as I was standing with the tripod on a slippery ramp (to lower down the boats), and also I had to adjust the legs of the tripod to let the camera be level as much as possible. By the time I finished this panorama, it was dark already. For this reason and for this hasty work, this panorama wasn't shot in full but only in 360 degrees (or cylindrical).

The Ghostly Bank (2010);
A panorama from Failaka island; an island that was depopulated during the war of 1990-1991. I've visited this place many times actually and didn't know what it was until I've figured that it could be a bank because of some big safe in the wall in one of the rooms. The building is full of bullets holes and with the silence, it is creepy as it is even under pure daylight at noon time.

Περίπλοκος (complicated) - 2010. From the archive, shot on Failaka island. I do prefer the monochrome version on the colored one, but maybe I would process it differently if I had to do it all over again.
Taken from the remains of the old resort on the island, which is in ruins right now (not sure if it is still there since then even).
