A principal vantagem do sistema é que toda a gente, mesmo que com pouca literacia, é capaz de perceber o funcionamento do sistema. A contagem é mais rápida do que contar votos em papel, e sai mais barato. Precisa é de muitos bidões...

Que tal voltarmos a discutir o rastro de auditoria em papel para nossas urnas? (já que o termo "voto impresso" virou tabu político)

Estava bem encaminhado até "politizarem" o problema e transformarem o "voto impresso" de "rastro impresso de auditoria" para "voto manual em papel sem urnas eletrônicas".

No mundo inteiro, urnas de modelo DRE, como as brasileiras, vem sendo eliminadas por não permitirem auditoria. Está na hora de nós também avançarmos nisso. Vejam esse exemplo de Porto Rico, onde o rastro de auditoria permitiu identificar um "bug" que gerava totalizações incorretas nas urnas.

Just used the Swiss #evote platform again (after it was closed following a security review in 2019). The review process was quite transparent and my trust in the Swiss admin to run this properly is high. but it still feels weird.

I definitely would not recommend this for anything very contentious.

"We want the source code"

This is why e-Vote should never be adopted. If people cannot understand how a system works, they will not trust it. They will not trust the results, they will not trust elections, they will not trust democracy.

e-Vote is a threat to democracy.
