As Mastodon allows its users to filter which posts they want to see based on language I thought it might be fine to use one account to post in English, German and Swedish - even though some of my followers might not speak all of these language and possibly could get annoyed by posts they don't understand.

What do you think?

Here on #Mastodon what’s the #etiquette for replying to a post when there are multiple people tagged?

1) reply only to one person & delete all besides the recipient

2) reply some (look at conversation and address only to ppl for whom your reply is relevant)

3) go ahead and reply all

4) it depends

When you meet a professor in a toilet, should you say hello to him? Or rather pretend you haven't seen him AND haven't heard how he farted inside that cubicle?

Awkward question (don't murder me): the family is celebrating a birthday, and many of the guests are vegetarian, so they decided on an Indian restaurant. The boyfriend of one of the guests is of Indian ancestry, and we're all white. Would this at all be awkward or insensitive? I feel like this might put him in an awkward position.

I have an urge to favorite ⭐ replies I get to a post to let people know that I read the reply and appreciate it, even if I don't have anything to add myself. Is this necessary? Will people just assume that I read it, or will they think I'm ignoring them?
