Sussex Landscape: Chalk, Wood, and Water
My parents moved to Chichester after they’d both retired a couple of decades ago. It’s never struck me as a particularly exciting town. My father died in 2015 and my mother died two years ago this coming Saturday, so I don’t tend to visit these days.

Lovely, thank you. I'm just listening to part of Suite for Timothy, which on YouTube is illustrated with Eric Ravilious paintings (a big favourite of mine), fitting perfectly with the mid-century character of her music.
Welsh HikerOne of my favourite watercolour landscapes of one of my favourite local walks - The Causeway, Wiltshire Downs, by Eric Ravilious from 1937 (it’s a watercolour looking up Hippenscombe towards Chute’s Causeway). He served as a war artist, and was the first British war artist to die on active service in World War II when the aircraft he was in was lost off Iceland. #EricRavilious #downlands
