Our experience with @protonprivacy is that we can feel they are starting to #enshitify. Someone in marketing is actively getting all these half available teasers into the AI. Anyone know of Clash of Clans (buy gems now to access this bit) - that’s what we’re starting to see.

We’ve added Bitwarden to Trial and are moving Proton to HOLD in our tech radar while we reassess our endorsement of them. Pretty sad to see this coming really.

But in 2025 nothing surprises anymore.

El otro día mi padre me contaba todo orgulloso que había usado una IA para conseguir el teléfono de un seguro, ahorrándose tener que entrar en la web y buscarlo.

Le dije: si la IA te da mal el teléfono y llamas a un sitio que te tima, cuando hagas la reclamación te va a costar que no se rían de ti.

Y aun así, la otra reflexión que va implícita en todo esto es: ¿os acordáis cuando encontrar la información más básica no era una carrera de obstáculos?

I agree, It's not unreasonable at all.

It still hasn't gone on to the #Florida #Senate which is the goofier of the two. I am sure they will #enshitify it.

But the problem – for #Mastodon at least – is that there are not even any minimal provision for the age verification that this would require during an account creation.
