May 7th Is World Wide Day of Genital Autonomy.

A day to raise awareness of a human right that is frequently violated in the western world through male circumcision and intersex 'normalization' surgeries. Also, while no longer widely practiced there are still over 500 thousand victims of FGM in the US with extremely few avenues for support since their battle is often thought as 'won'. There's similar disenfranchisement of the grief of everyone who has experienced child genital cutting including an *incorrect* association with the manosphere/faschosphere.

I host two explicitly intersectional support groups on discord, one for the intersection (violated) genital autonomy and trans, intersex, and gender diverse peoples. I also host a support group for other marginalized allies in the same vein. You can access these at our work in progress website. It's currently at 19 PT on Tuesdays.

I made a poster to advertise GAZ in person. I committed very heinous acts to create this in GIMP because it's text editor has very poor features.

I'm not a graphic designer, but I think this should be attention grabbing, and give people that haven't questioned it "permission" to be unhappy with a non consensual violation of their genital autonomy.

Does anyone have opinions on graphic design?

There's also the concern that this will end up triggering people in public, but I don't really see a way around that would attract attention that garners questioning and activism.

Our furnace went out with this recent winter cold snap and just remembering about how triggered I got when I learned that faux foreskins are a thing that are marketed for people skiing. Before I restored my foreskin I remember being pretty aware of my glans being more sensitive to the cold during the winter, and that was always a constant distraction. The reason I started to restore in the first place as a teen was due to chafing and being cold while running.

We're perfectly fine since we had electric space heaters to keep warm too, and the power never went out. A bit scary not being as prepared as I was in the past in terms of alternate heating methods. Hope everyone is staying warm and safe, and I would not advise taking a flamethrower to the ice on the ground which is definitely not from personal experience./s
