I didn't know that the #ElginMarbles in the #BritishMuseum were by the sculptor Phidias. About 60 years ago in elementary school I read an account: Phidias was working on the hair of his statue of Athena. "Impertinent Athenian youth" asked "Phidias why do you dally on a single hair of Athena when men shall not see it?" Phidias replied "Fools - men shall not see but the immortals will". My point: I think the immortals are watching the Museum and Brtitain's refusal to return what is rightly Greece's.
