The not-immediately-intuitive representation of guitar electrics motivated me to portray them in terms I can more easily comprehend.
The joys of replacing dimmer switches.
I learnt today the difference between trailing edge and dummy modules.
In my haste I've bought and fitted one with two trailing edge type modules, when one of the sets of lights are not meant for dimmer switches, (trailing edge type). 🤬🤦 #DIY #electrics
#electrics and #pcbuilding nerds!
We've got a window sill with slits over a radiator. I'd like to convert 4 cheap arse pc fans to go under and increase the air output. See images.
Which parts do I need to be able to connect 4 serially and power them with 230v via a wall socket?
Please treat me like a beginner in this kind of thing

Can anyone help me out with an electrical problem? I bought a new light fitting for the bedroom. The wiring instructions were straightforward, Live, Neutral and Earth. But the actual wiring involves two power cables on a ring main and I've buggered up somewhere.
If you can help please DM.
Thanks
In my opinion self-adjusting wire strippers are the best for wire stripping, they can strip even the tinniest wires and are the easiest to use. I have a fairly generic one, there's no branding on it, at first when I saw it I was fairly sceptical because of it, plus it was dirt cheap compared to branded ones. I thought it can't be any good, but I was proven wrong after I bought it and tried it out afterward. 😁
Called by a friend. Dodgy light switch tripping the RCD... I am "techy" - could I take a look?
Simple fix - new switch.
The old one was obviously faulty as the rocker was not rocking! I opened it to see why, and found the the terminals had arc-welded themselves together!
