Still no dice…

This is the third day experimenting with my KX3.

I'm getting faster at the SOTABEAMS endfed antenna setup and teardown (about 5mins and 3mins).

Today there was a lot of QSB.

I heard France (TM16FF), Italy, Spain (EA7), and Russian language stations at sometimes +9 and 30 seconds later barely 1.

Worst part was I'm calling into the void! No-one can hear me. 🙉

One good thing is I've managed to get the hang of voice recordings on the KX3. It makes that repetitive one-sided calling [...]

Has anyone else been an idiot and snapped the BNC connector on their AX1 AXB1 bipod?

Thanks to ‘Angelo’ on printables (https://www.printables.com/model/385370-elecraft-ax1-antenna-clip) I printed a replacement which works very nicely.

I’ve got 8 spare (don’t ask!) , if anyone wants one DM (or email) me for my address, send me a SAE and I’ll drop one in the post.

I guess this is likely only work it for UK people but if you’re happy to pay international postage then I’m game 😀

fooking rain… well, at least I can plan for some nice weather. this test build-out weighs 7.2 lbs (~3.27 kg) and gets me a complete 15w 20m/40m station-in-a-bag.
